And I'm going to rant a little about The Beatles... don't get mad at me if you're a die-hard fan, okay? ^^; That means you, CassieCros13!!!! :giggle:

ANYWHO, there's all this big deal stuff going on around The Beatles, and I get that, mkay?  I like The Beatles, I don't love them.  Here's why.  Is a list okay? :meow:

:bulletred:They're not good-looking.  K?  Why do I see all these old videos of women swooning over them and passing out?! MY GOODNESS THEY WERE UGLY.  While this has nothing to do with their talent or anything, it's notable :XD:

:bulletorange:They weren't the BEST singers.  Now granted, I don't have much right ranting about The Beatles.  I admit that; I don't know everything about them.  But when you compare them with some of the other incredible artists out there (not just today, mind you), they weren't that awesome.

:bulletyellow:What was the deal with the Ed Sullivan Show?  I get that that was their first live television performance, but when people say stuff like "OMG THIS MOMENT CHANGED MY ENTIRE LIFE AND THE COURSE OF HISTORY FOREVER." like can you not? It's not that big a deal, really!!!  I could say the same thing about One Direction, or any other band for that matter, but do you see me doing that? (shut up, bandgeek4evur ;))

:bulletgreen:These songs... just. ugh.  I mean, a lot of their songs are about DRUGS. Drugs.  Did I say drugs? I meant drugs.  I mean, like, they're catchy and well written and all, but when you have to resort to drugs for inspiration for music that is supposed to connect people and touch their lives, that kinda stinks. :noes:

Again, I have nothing WRONG with The Beatles!!! I'm just making observation and really wondering why they got so famous...?  It's not ridiculous and they're not stupid or suckish and it's not like I hate them at all, but I'm not in love with them, and I don't get why the world is, really.

I'M IN A RANTING MOOD I'M SORRY!

I am not a huge fan of the Beatles but I do appreciate what they did for Music.

Before them, music was very different, and honestly not really interesting (to me at least).  The Beatles said to the world "Hey guys, look at this new thing we did."  And everyone else was like "Oh my god that is so much better than what we have been trying to do." And the reason why they didn't fade into obscurity is that people STILL love it today.  The sound and the words can resonate with millions of people.

But that's not always a good thing.  Since The Beatles were this giant revolution in the world of music people tend to laud them on high as gods among me, thinking that every thing they did was magic. (Like most big bands *cough cough 1D today, just the Beatles had a longer lasting effect).
